Welcome Back.  We hope you had a great spring break. 

The first round of Intramural Sports have wrapped up their Championships.  See http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003579817346#!/pages/Lee-University-Intramural-Sports/119959436834 for the updated pics and other news.  In addition to softball and soccer you can also join us for March Madness by competing in the Intramural Sports bracket. 

New hours for the DeVos Recreation Center and Tennis Center.  We've also released a new ROCKSOLID schedule.  We added 5 spin bikes for RIDE, so come and join us for a class.  New hours/schedules are posted on the facebook page and around the DeVos Recreation Center.

In club sports, the Lee Women's Rugby Football Club is ranked #14 in the latest addition of Rugbymag.com.  The men will face of at Tennessee Tech this Saturday in a critical Dixie Conference matchup.

The big event on this weeks calendar is the Campus Recreation/SCL co-sponsored basketball championships.  Action will kickoff at 7pm Friday night in Walker Arena.  The finalists in all divisions will earn their championship appearance in tonight's semifinals, also being played in Walker Arena.

Both Men's and Women's Rugby are on the road this week.  The women will be in Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide, while the men will travel just up the road to the University of the South.  Both teams racked up impressive wins over conference opponents this past Saturday.  The men topped Bryan 99-5 and the women bested Western Kentucky 87-7.

We're taking registrations for Great Strides.  Join a team or register as an individual to help fight Muscular Dystrophy.  This is on the biggest events on our campus and a great cause.  Get involved.  Come by the DeVos Recreation Center to pick up an application.

The LEE REC update:

With the emphasis on convocation, the IM and Recreation calendar have been light this week.  We're back in action  on Thursday with volleyball in the DeVos recreation Center and basketball at Mayfield.   

Blacklight VB tournament scheduled for Friday has been postponed. Rec Center Gym and Mayfield are booked all day on Saturday for a Southern Region Volleyball event. 

Rugby double header Saturday at Carroll Court: The men open their season v Bryan @ 11am,  and the women (2-0) will take on Western KY @ 1pm.

Two modifications to the ROCKSOLID schedule.  The 3:15 Adrenaline class on Monday has been cancelled along with the 3:15 Strength class on Thursday.  This change goes into effect on Monday the 20th through the end of Session 1 (Spring Break).  New times will be announced for Session 2 as we get closer to the break.

Lots of athletic teams in action this week.  Get out and support the Flames and Lady Flames.   Have a great weekend!!
